We’ll drive you in luxury through the spectacular scenery of the Sunshine Coast down to the dynamic city of Brisbane, aiming for the upmarket Edward St district, where you’ll enjoy a tasting of artisan wines at the cellar door of the City Winery – Brisbane’s only working micro-winery.
You’ll board the comfortable MV Neptune for a relaxing 90-minute cruise through the city’s iconic river scene, as the sun sets and the city lights up. There’s plenty of time to take photos of the iconic cityscape or just chill out.
Finally, we’ll chauffeur you to the City Winery’s restaurant for a delicious two-course dinner and all-around gourmet experience at its atmospheric restaurant and cellar at Fortitude Valley. We were blown away by the service and passion of the staff, the amazing food prepared by chef Travis Crane and his team, and the array of awesome house wines. We think you will be, too.

Your exciting evening out starts at a very civilised 4 pm at your chosen pick-up point. Our experienced driver will welcome you aboard our comfy, COVID-safe minibus. Settle back to enjoy the drive south on the famous Bruce Highway. You’ll journey through the Beerburrum East State Forest, with the Glass House Mountains on your right then down through the northern suburbs of Brisbane and on to the cosmopolitan and upmarket shopping Edward St district to your first stop, the cellar door at Brisbane’s only working micro-winery, the City Winery.
It’s been nearly 160 years since Brisbane had its own winery and the City Winery Brisbane has taken on that challenge, and then some. Crafted in small batches, the artisan wines are created by acclaimed winemaker, Dave Cush, and bottled under the Gerler label, (Brisbane’s first winemaker Carl Gerler is Dave’s hero).
The select wines are produced from high-quality grapes sourced only from where they grow best across Australia, and there’s a wide array to enjoy: maybe you’ll try a classic Savvie from the Adelaide Hills, a more intense and lively Moscato Giallo or, if you’re more of a Shiraz fan, Dave’s 2019 Barossa Valley is for you.
After an hour of pick-n-mixing your wine, it’s time to be chauffeured to the river for the start of your evening cruise. Climb aboard the MV Neptune, a boutique-style boat with a friendly, expert crew, spacious decks, and a covered area, which we know you won’t use as early to mid-evening is the best time to be out on the river. It’s a magical mixture: the bustle of the day takes on a more relaxed but still energetic vibe as the city lights come on and are reflected in the water.
From the decks, you’ll have uninterrupted views of the iconic river scenery and plenty of opportunities for photos and video. You’ll enjoy ninety minutes of meandering at a relaxed pace past Brisbane’s most iconic offerings including the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, City Centre, and the Story Bridge.
The mellowness of the wine and the warm, evening breeze of your evening cruise will no doubt have given you a bit of an appetite, which is just as well as your final stop is the City Winery’s restaurant at Fortitude Valley, just a short drive away. Converted from an industrial warehouse, the restaurant has an airy, relaxed feel but is an integral part of the Winery because you’ll be seated comfortably among the wine barrels storing thousands of liters of Gerler wines. The hardest thing you have to do today is to choose what to eat.
The seasonal, locally-sourced menu is devised by head chef Travis Crane and there’s something for carnies and veggies alike. Enjoy the mellow buzz of this very chic urban eaterie – and don’t forget that there’s always room for another glass of Gerler (after all, you’re not driving, we are!).
By now everyone in your group will be feeling totally relaxed, probably a bit full and a little bit snoozy. Don’t worry, because at 9 pm we’ll pop you back in the minibus to be chauffeured back to your chosen drop-off points. And we’ll wake you up when we get there for no extra charge!
