See the best of Brisbane – from the water! This full-day Brisbane River tour includes a fascinating riverboat cruise followed by beer and wine tastings in two of Brisbane’s most iconic areas. Lunch and luxury included!
Coast to Hinterland Tours is currently the only local company offering this special tour, so climb aboard!
Choose your Sunshine Coast pick-up spot and we’ll collect you and your group in our comfortable COVID-safe air-conditioned minibus. We’ll drive you in luxury through the spectacular scenery of the Sunshine Coast down to the dynamic city of Brisbane.
You’ll board the comfortable MV Neptune for a relaxing 45-minute cruise through the city’s iconic river scene to your second destination, the Breakfast Creek Hotel, steeped in history and arguably Queensland’s most famous watering hole (we’re not arguing).
Next, it’s a delicious lunch, wine tasting and all-around gourmet experience at Brisbane’s only inner-city micro-winery, the brilliantly-run City Winery Brisbane. We were blown away by the service and passion of the staff, the amazing lunch prepared by chef Travis Crane and his team, and the array of awesome house wines.
We think you will be, too. You’ll finish your tour in the unique, sophisticated atmosphere of the Newstead Brewing Company before we drive you back in safety and style back up the Bruce Highway to your chosen drop-off point.

Your exciting day out starts early morning at your chosen pick-up point. Our experienced driver will welcome you aboard our comfy, COVID-safe minibus. Settle back to enjoy the drive south on the famous Bruce Highway. You’ll journey through the Beerburrum East State Forest, with the Glass House Mountains on your right then down through the northern suburbs of Brisbane to your first stop, the jetty on the South Bank of the river. We can’t miss it, as it’s slightly upstream of the famous Wheel of Brisbane.
Brisbane City Cruises
Climb aboard the MV Neptune, a boutique-style boat with spacious decks, and a covered area if you’re not in the mood for sunshine and blue skies. The friendly, experienced crew will welcome you with a nice cup of tea and a fun and informative commentary on your riverway adventure. From the decks, you’ll have uninterrupted views of the iconic river scenery and plenty of opportunities for photos and videos. You’ll meander at a relaxed pace past Brisbane’s most iconic offerings including the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, City Centre, and the Story Bridge.
Breakfast Creek Hotel
Don’t get too comfortable because mid-morning it’s time to disembark from the MV Neptune to journey back in time – to the Breakfast Creek Hotel. The Brekky Creek is one of Australia’s oldest and most iconic hotels, and it even has its own ghost. Built way back in 1889, it’s had so many dining ‘firsts’ – first beer garden dining in the 1950s, first drive-through bottle shop in the 1960s, and first for Mexican dining in the Spanish Garden restaurant, again in the 1960s – something that Australians weren’t quite ready for. Today it boasts “beer off the wood’ and a reputation as Queensland’s best-loved pub. You’ll have a quick stop here to soak up the atmosphere and work up an appetite because it’s time to head off for lunch.
City Winery Brisbane
And an out-of-this-world lunch it is! Lunch is at City Winery, Brisbane’s first inner-city winery since 1860. It’s a working micro-winery, sourcing grapes from selected growers across Australia and producing a range of artisan wines made on-site and with lots of love. You’ll be made very welcome at the City Winery, where you’ll enjoy a tasting of its most select artisan wines, together with a delicious lunch, hand-crafted by head chef Travis Crane and his team. The menu is locally sourced and cooked over fire at the City Winery’s amazing firepit.
Newstead Brewing Company
After a relaxing, laid-back rest-and-digest time-out at the City Winery, it’s off to your final stop on the tour, the Newstead Brewing Company, with its sophisticated atmosphere and super-cool underground cellar aesthetic. With a choice of 32 draught beers and some cheeky guest beers, choosing what to drink will be tough.
After you’ve totally chilled out, it’s time for you to be chauffeured back to your chosen drop-off point. You’ll probably be a bit full and snoozy, so we’ll wake you up when we get there!
