Grab five or more of your best friends and dive into this unforgettable half-day trip we’ve specially created for people who love good food, good wine and spectacular scenery.
You’ll travel in comfort through stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland where you’ll stop to marvel at the breathtaking rainforest canopy at the Mapleton Falls, one of the true gems of the Hinterland. This will give you an appetite for your first foodie stop – an elegant traditional high tea with all the trimmings at the luxurious Flaxton Gardens, with its coastal views stretching from Noosa to Moreton Island.
Once you’ve refuelled with delicate cakes and savouries, it’s off to the picture-postcard village of Montville, where you can spend a delightful (and tempting!) hour strolling around the art galleries, boutiques and markets brimming with local crafts and produce. Here you’ll be invited to sample delicious luxury chocolate handmade by Montville’s artisan chocolatier Chocolate Country.
Your final treat for the day is a select wine tasting of local award-winning wines. Relax with a friendly wine expert who will give you an overview of local grape varieties while you sample a selection of the finest local wines.

The Mapleton Falls lookout for some is a highlight of their day, a hidden treasure in the Hinterland region, this scenic lookout offers amazing views over the Obi Obi Valley and the top of the lush rainforest canopy.
Around mid-morning we’ve got an appointment for an elegant high tea at the famous Flaxton Gardens in the Hinterland region. This high-class class experience will take an hour and a half while you enjoy the amazing scenic views from the terrace or beautiful gardens. Choose a plunger coffee or pot of tea and 3 delicate sweets and savouries per person.
When we arrive at the Hinterland Village of Montville, you can spend an hour checking out the delightful shops and boutiques, enjoying this picture-postcard village and its fresh mountain air.
Chocolate Country has been specialising in making and serving handmade chocolate to locals and visitors alike since 1993. Here you will experience a luxury handmade sampler box (one per couple) of four chocolates which you can take with you to enjoy later in the day.
Our last stop is Clouds Vineyard cellar door offering wine tasting of local award-winning wines or if you prefer, a selection of beers. For wine lovers, you’ll smell and taste local wines whilst identifying the different aromas while learning the different grapes grown in our region.
It’s mid-afternoon and you’ve bought yourself a couple of bottles of local wine to take home and now it’s time to head back down to sea level where you will arrive back in time for a rest before dinner.
