Enjoy a day of sunshine and sparkle with a visit to four of the Sunshine Coast’s best drinks venues & distilleries. Experience a demo and tasting at a champagne-style cider maker, followed by a tasting at the Sunshine Coast’s amazing meadery (yes, it’s a word) and a delicious locally-sourced lunch at a boutique gin distillery. Finish up a relaxing day with a gin tasting at another of our choice Sunshine Coast’s superstar distilleries.
We’ll pick you and your group up from a location of your choice bright and early and welcome you aboard our comfortable, COVID-safe minibus. We’ll drive you in air-conditioned luxury through the Sunshine Coast’s pretty scenery to our first stop, the small and cozy Cellar Door at Sunshine Coast Cider. Here you’ll learn about the cider-making process directly from the maker and enjoy sampling some of the champagne-style cider that’s made on-site.
Next, it’s a short drive through the spectacular scenery of Noosa’s Hinterland to the alternative town of Pomona, nestled at the foot of Mt Cooroora. You’ll be welcomed to an amazing boutique meadery – the Amrita Park Meadery. Mead needs honey, so you may see some honey bees buzzing around the beautiful gardens. You’ll find out more about this fascinating, ancient beverage – and taste a few, of course!
You’ll have worked up an appetite so we’ll pop you back in the minibus for the short drive to the relaxed, trendy ambience of the Imperial Hotel in Eumundi – there’s lots of space to stretch out, a cool gin distillery out front and a brewery outback. Enjoy a delicious lunch and time to rest and digest – and of course, there is the option for a tasting from a tempting array of gin blends or craft beer – before we head off back through pretty scenery to the Fortune still at Noosa Heads Brewery, which produces vodka and a white malt as well as a range of iconic gins.
There’s plenty of time for you to enjoy a tasting before we round you up for the short drive back to your chosen drop-off location late afternoon.

We hope you’ve had a decent breakfast to line your tummy as you’ll be tasting a wide variety of what some of the Sunshine Coast’s best distilleries have to offer! Your Distillery Discovery adventure starts in the morning when our experienced driver will welcome you aboard our comfy, COVID-safe minibus. Seatbelts on, music on (your choice, of course!) and it’s off to your first stop, the bijou Cellar Door at Sunshine Coast Cider.
Sunshine Coast Cider’s founder Martin is a fifth-generation cider maker originally from Switzerland, where his family made farmhouse cider in massive barrels underneath their house. Now he’s brought his expertise to the Sunshine Coast, and his specialty is méthode traditionnelle cider, better known as champagne-style cider. Martin and his team will welcome you with a glass of brut+ cider, and you’ll enjoy a tour of the Cidery, a demo of the making process and, of course, a tasting Sunshine Coast Cider’s core range of cider and perry.
Mid-morning we’ll round you up and pop you back into the minibus for the 30-minute drive through pretty scenery up to Pomona, nestling at the foot of Mt Tinbeerwah in the Sunshine Coast hinterlands. Pomona is a community popular for its alternative lifestyle so it’s no wonder it’s a centre for artisan distilleries, organic produce, Slow Movement champions, and all that kind of loveliness.
We’ll stop at the warm and welcoming Amrita Park Meadery, set in beautiful grounds abuzz with honeybees and ablaze with flowers. There are well over 50 species of native plants and it’s part of the Land For Wildlife Program. Founders Andy and Nicola make award-winning mead from locally sourced ingredients, using the methods passed down to Andy from his late granddad Poppo.
And, just a heads up, mead isn’t necessarily sweet – it can be fermented bone dry, too! You’ll discover how mead is made, and the fruits and spices that give each mead its character. And, of course, you’ll enjoy a tasting of Amrita’s most popular meads.
To help digest all of the flavours of the morning, it’s back onto the minibus where you take in the incredible beauty of the hinterland as we wend our way to The Imperial Hotel in Eumundi, arriving in time for lunch. As well as the delicious food, The Imperial Hotel is home to Eumundi Brewery and Eumundi Distillers.
Head distiller Mick Reif is a Sunshine Coast local using the finest juniper and botanicals along with local Cooroy Mountain spring water to create the excellent Folktale Gin range. Sample the selection as you enjoy lunch in the chilled-out beer garden, taking in the creative décor and murals of the venue.
After lunch we’ll chivvy you back into the minibus for the scenic drive back to Noosa for your final experience, the Fortune Distillery at Land & Sea Brewery. Well known for its craft beer, the Fortune is the brewery’s little secret. The Fortune team uses local ingredients to produce a range of fine spirits – vodka and a white malt as well as medal-winning gins and rum.
By mid-afternoon, it’s time to say goodbye to the Fortune team, as we head back to your chosen locations for drop-off late afternoon.
