Terms and Conditions

Fares

Fares are in Australian dollars and are subject to change without notice. Prices are correct at the time of publication but may change without notice except for confirmed bookings. Confirmed bookings will not alter.

Bookings

Bookings are not deemed confirmed until full payment is received. Places on tours are allocated strictly based on when payment is received. Should tours be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances by Coast to Hinterland Tours, a full refund will apply, or guests may transfer onto the same tour at a later date, or a credit may be transferred across to a different tour at a later date. Bookings can be transferred by you to another person at no cost but we must be advised of the name of the replacement passenger.

Payment due dates

Bookings cannot be held on a tentative basis, full payment is required:

Tours, Minibus Charters & Airport Transfers

Full payment is required 10 days before travel. Payment may be made with a credit card or bank deposit.

Deposit Required

While no deposit is required, a credit card is necessary as security against Minibus charters and transfers. Full journey details must be provided at least 10 days in advance. Without this information, including the credit card number, we cannot dispatch the bus from the depot.

Cancellation Policy

Day Tours, Minibus Charters & Transfers

  • 0% cancellation fee for bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before departure.
  • 50% cancellation fee for bookings cancelled within 24 hours before departure.
  • 100% cancellation fee for same-day cancellations or no-shows.

Refunds Refunds are processed the same day by Coast to Hinterland Tours, however, most banks will credit your credit card within 5-10 business days. Credit card fees incurred at the time of booking will not be refunded. Noosa Everglades & Highlights Tour requires 48 hours’ notice for 0% cancellation.

Money Back Guarantee

At our company, customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance. If you are not satisfied with your tour, please speak with your tour leader on the day of the tour to reach a fair resolution. If no resolution can be reached, a full or partial refund may be offered.

Insurance and Liability

Coast to Hinterland Tours recommends that all passengers take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. Our liability for injury, loss, or damage is limited as permitted by law.

Force Majeure

Coast to Hinterland Tours will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.

Accessibility

Please notify us of any special needs or disabilities at the time of booking. We will make every effort to accommodate these needs but cannot guarantee the availability of suitable facilities.

Customer Conduct

Passengers are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful to other passengers and staff. Disruptive behaviour may result in exclusion from the tour without a refund.

Data Protection

Your personal information is protected in compliance with privacy laws. We will not share your data with third parties without your consent.

Extension of time or running late for your Minibus Charter pick-up

Your vehicle & driver are booked for a specific pick-up time for both the outbound and return journeys. If you are running late or need to extend the duration of your minibus charter on the day, a waiting fee of $30 per 15 minutes will be incurred for the 11 & 13-seat vehicles and $40 per 15 minutes for the 21-seat vehicle. In some instances, the vehicle and driver may be booked for another job on the same day, therefore the ability to wait may not be possible.

Children – Day Tours

Infants aged 0-2 years travel free of charge. Children aged 3 years and up to 14 years receive a discount as advertised for each tour. Adult fares apply to persons aged 15 years and over.

Day Tours – Accommodation pick-up

No refund is payable if a passenger is not at the departure point at the nominated departure time. Please wait outside the hotel 10 minutes before pick-up time. Pick-up times may vary depending on traffic. To ensure an accommodation pick-up is arranged, please make sure you add your accommodation details at the time of booking.

Seating and Seat Belts

All passengers are to wear seat belts in seat-belt-equipped vehicles. Coast to Hinterland Tours is not responsible for the provision, installation, and securing of children and child booster seats, capsules, and child restraints. Parents, guardians, or the client are responsible for providing, installing and securing all child restraints and booster seats.

Weather & Itineraries

All tours will depart regardless of rain or other weather conditions unless we are aware of conditions/forecasts that would make it unsafe. Full refunds are given if tours are cancelled before departure. All tours are subject to operational needs and changes that may result in some variations to published itineraries and inclusions.

Vehicle Breakdown, Accident, or Mechanical Failure

In the event of a vehicle breakdown, accident, or mechanical failure that prevents us from fulfilling a future booking, Coast to Hinterland Tours will make every reasonable effort to resolve the situation. We will exhaust all possible avenues, including reaching out to other tour operators in the region to inquire about borrowing a vehicle and checking with rental car agencies to explore options for hiring a replacement vehicle. However, despite these efforts, if we are unable to secure a suitable alternative, we will not be held liable for providing a replacement vehicle. While we strive to ensure all bookings are honoured, such incidents are beyond our control, and no compensation will be provided beyond a full refund.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited on all Coast to Hinterland Tours vehicles.

Food & Non-Alcoholic Beverages Onboard

Food and beverages (Excluding water) are not to be consumed on any vehicle without prior approval from the driver. In such circumstances, a bond may be required to cover the risk of damage to the vehicle.

Alcohol & Drugs

State legislation prohibits alcohol from being consumed in any of our licensed vehicles at any time. There is to be no open alcohol brought on the bus at any time. For the safety of other guests, persons considered to be intoxicated by either drugs or alcohol will not be carried and may be excluded from the tour or not boarded. No compensation or refunds will be paid.

Cleaning & Damage

The lead passenger for the booking is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle. Examples include vandalism, vehicle cleaning due to food or beverage spillage, bodily fluids and breakage of interior or exterior fittings. A fee may be charged if damage or cleaning to the bus is caused. This includes body excretions and/or vomiting. A minimum fee will apply for excretions and/or vomiting clean-ups. The price of repair or spare parts will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

Cleaning Fees

  • Light Clean $150
  • Medium Clean $250
  • Heavy Clean $500 (e.g., excretions and/or vomiting, stains)

Damage to the Vehicle

The price of repair or spare parts will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

Payment for Damage or Cleaning

If you are required to pay for cleaning or damages, Coast to Hinterland Tours / Minibus Charter Sunshine Coast will debit the credit card as supplied at the time of booking with the specified amount.

Breakdowns & Delays

Coast to Hinterland Tours gives its advice on tour journey times in good faith and does not guarantee the completion of any journey at any specific time and will not be liable for loss or inconvenience caused by the actual journey time and/or breakdown of the vehicle. Unusual road, traffic, and weather conditions are beyond the control of Coast to Hinterland Tours and the driver, and delays may occur. Late arrivals due to these and other occurrences out of the driver’s control are not grounds for the cancellation of the tour. In the unfortunate circumstance where the vehicle reserved for a day tour or minibus charter sustains damage or is involved in an accident, rendering it inoperable, confirmed bookings may be subject to cancellation with a full refund provided. Please note that Coast to Hinterland Tours is not accountable for arranging replacement vehicles through third-party services.

Passenger Property & Lost Property

Coast to Hinterland Tours assumes no liability for any damage to or loss of property left on the vehicle by a passenger. In cases of lost property, items may be returned to the owner via postal service, with postage costs for the return borne by the passenger along with a $20 administration handling fee.

General

No luggage can be brought on day tours. Large backpacks and suitcases will be refused at departure due to space restrictions on board. Coast to Hinterland Tours drivers are not responsible for the behaviour and safety of children when not accompanied by a parent or guardian. Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle as their primary focus. Coast to Hinterland Tours drivers reserve the right to deny travel where a risk to customers, the public, or staff is perceived. Coast to Hinterland Tours does not offer wheelchair lift vehicles. All bookings are subject to availability.
