Inc. Lunch & Tasting Paddles
Gin lovers get ready for the ultimate Sunshine Coast Gin Distillery Tour. Switch out your morning tea for a gin tasting at Sunshine & Son’s distillery door, followed by more gin tasting at one of our regions newer additions 20 20 Distillery, then on to a locally-sourced lunch (with the option of a side of gin) at one of the region’s finest old watering holes Eumundi Distillers. In case that’s not quite enough gin, we’ll finish up with an (optional) tasting paddle at another of the Coast’s best distilleries, Fortune Distillery.
We will collect you and your group from your choice of location in our comfortable and COVID-safe minibus. Relax in air-conditioned luxury and take in the stunning scenery of the Sunshine Coast as we drive you to your first stop. We will arrive at Sunshine & Sons distillery door mid-morning, where you can begin your day by tasting their exquisite gins.
From here, it’s back to the bus as we head north along the M1 to the charismatic town of Cooroy, nestled close to the foot of Mount Cooroy. We will arrive here by late morning, in time to enjoy a mouth-watering pre-lunch tasting paddle of spectacular gin at 20 20 Distillery; a new addition to the growing stable of exceptional craft distillers in the region.
Next, it’s back to the bus for more magnificent scenery as we meander through Noosa’s beautiful hinterland to the vibrant town of Eumundi. We will conveniently arrive here just in time for lunch. Enjoy a delicious lunch at The Imperial Hotel, home of Eumundi Distillers. The distillery produces small-batch handmade spirits, whilst the onsite brewery makes a delicious range of beers, and the kitchen provides a combination of traditional pub favourites alongside contemporary dishes.
Once you’ve had plenty of time to enjoy your food and stretch your legs we will make our way to our last stop of the day: Fortune Distillery in Noosa Heads. One of the things that makes this distillery special is that has joined forces with Land & Sea – one of the Sunshine Coast’s best craft beer brewers, giving you the option to round off your day with either a beer or a gin tasting paddle. Unwind with your chosen beverage until 3:30 when we will make our way back to your drop-off location.

Your Distillery Day Tour begins in the morning when our friendly and experienced driver will welcome you aboard our comfy, COVID-safe minibus. Fasten your seatbelt and select the perfect soundtrack for your day, and it’s off to your first stop: Sunshine & Sons distillery door, where will arrive mid-morning.
This exquisite distillery is the brainchild of four lifelong friends who decided to combine their love of the Sunshine Coast with their experience in and adoration for beautifully handcrafted spirits. Their specialities include a range of magnificent vodkas and gins, as well as a Sunshine Coast cane spirit. You and your group will be welcomed in for a talk and tasting of their finest gins.
Late morning, we will hop back onto the minibus where you can soak up the breathtaking beauty of the hinterland as we make the 30-minute trip to Cooroy, a charming and quirky town nestled close to the foot of Mt Cooroy, arriving just in time for some pre-lunch gin tasting. Popular for its alternative lifestyle, it’s no wonder that the Cooroy community is also a centre for artists, organic produce and also home to Cooroy Mountain Spring Water, a vital ingredient in the 20 20 Distillery range of spirits.
Our next stop of the day, the 20/20 distillery located in Cooroy, is a new addition to the Sunshine Coast’s exquisite distillery scene. However, it is already making a big name for itself and has quickly become a favourite amongst locals and tourists alike. Established by London-born Brian Bedding, the distillery uses traditional methods and high-quality botanicals and ingredients to create both classic and innovative premium gins and whisky.
Opt for their East London Dry Gin, a homage to the birthplace of the founder, or sample a fruitier alternative such as quandong gin, raspberry pink gin, or Queen Garnet Plum Gin, made with fresh Sunshine Coast fruit. The industrial luxe style of décor also provides an attractive environment to enjoy your pre-lunch tasting.
To help digest all of the flavours of the morning, we will hop back onto the minibus where you can soak up the breathtaking beauty of the hinterland as we make our way to The Imperial Hotel in Eumundi, arriving just in time for lunch. Best known for being the home of the infamous Eumundi Markets offering a wide range of local produce and locally made goods, it’s no surprise that this quirky hinterland town also produces incredible gin.
By now you’ll have worked up an appetite from all of the gin tasting and relaxing, and need a nice sit-down, something to nibble on, and maybe a drop more gin. Well, you’re in luck. The Imperial Hotel has an awesome mouth-watering menu of your favourite pub classics as well as delicious contemporary meals.
As well as the delicious food, The Imperial Hotel is home to Eumundi Brewery and Eumundi Distillers. Head distiller Mark Reif is a Sunshine Coast local using the finest juniper and botanicals along with local Cooroy Mountain spring water to create the excellent Folktale Gin range. Sample the selection as you enjoy lunch in the chilled-out beer garden, taking in the creative décor and murals of the venue.
After taking a leisurely hour for lunch we’ll chivvy you back into the minibus for the scenic drive to Fortune Distillery at Land & Sea Brewery.
Renowned for its craft beer, the Fortune is the brewery’s little secret. The Fortune team uses local ingredients to produce a range of fine spirits – vodka and a white malt as well as medal-winning gins and rum – and Head Distiller Jack and his team will welcome you to chat about all things gin. And, of course, your visit wouldn’t be complete without the opportunity to taste the Fortune Distillery’s finest. If you feel like you’ve had your fill of gin for the day (although we’re not sure that’s even possible!), you might opt instead for a tasting paddle of the breweries finest beers.
You will enjoy an hour with the Fortune team, at which point we will hop back onto the bus one last time and head back to your chosen drop-off location.
