Great half day out. The driver was very informative and easy to listen to. He took us around Noosa as well so we could have a look
Mark our driver/host was punctual, patient and full of info on local history. He was a lovely man…
I was discriminated against I suffer a disability in which I have a dog to help me
She is very well behaved the company let me go the first time and I booked again and they said they can’t allow the dog due to someone suffering allergies this is a out right lie as the dog I have is a Japanese Spitz in which is allergy free and odourless that’s another reason I got this dog as I suffer allergies I find this company very disappointing
Response from the owner
Many thanks for allowing Coast to Hinterland Tours the opportunity to clarify our policy regarding dogs travelling on licenced public passenger tour vehicles. A complaint was received regarding your Japanese Spitzs travelling in a small 12 seat minibus and concerns over allergies. After investigation, Japanese Spitzs do not do well with allergy sufferers. Some of the dog breeds are even considered to increase the possibility of an allergic response. Coat type isn’t necessarily relevant, as most people are allergic to dander (flakes on the dog’s skin) or saliva, not actually to dog hair.
Based on the above information gathered, and In line with the Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Act 2009 where the presence of a dog may present a risk to the health or welfare of people on the vehicle, we made a decision not to permit your Japanese Spritzs onboard for a second time. Certified guide dogs, hearing dogs or assistance dogs are more than welcome on board our vehicles, however, with regret your Japanese Spritzs was not identified as a certified dog.
It was great to sit back and enjoy the air-conditioned bus to the Eumundi Markets. The door-to-door transfer is very convenient and the driver Geoff was friendly and informative.
