We want your journey with Coast to Hinterland Tours to be smooth and hassle-free. We appreciate that arranging a charter, transfer, or excursion, so here we’ve compiled a list of answers to frequently asked questions. Of course, if you still have a query or question, be sure to contact us. A member of the Coast to Hinterland Tours team would be delighted to address any of your concerns.
Q: What is your cancellation policy ?

0% cancellation fee applies for bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before departure.  

50% cancellation fee applies for bookings cancelled within 24 hours before departure.  

100% cancellation fee applies for no-shows 

Noosa Everglades & Highlights Tour require 48 hours notice for 0% cancellation. 

Coast to Hinterland Tours accepts no responsibility for passengers failing to be at designated pick-up point at the designated times.  

Bookings may be changed up to 24 hours prior to departure at no charge. 

Q. How much does a Sunshine Coast Minibus & Driver cost?

The price to charter a minibus and driver may vary depending on 3 main factors; distance travelled, pick-up and drop-off times and day of travel.

We offer two types of Minibus Charters, a regular Minibus Charter where the driver and vehicle remain with you at all times, or a Flexi Taxi Transfer service which is a cheaper point-to-point charter similar to a taxi service.

To give you an indication of price, please use the following as a guide:

Regular Minibus Charter Price guide

  • 11-Seat $240 for the first 3 hours + $50 per hour thereafter
  • 13-Seat $ 250 for the first 3 hours + $50 per hour thereafter
  • 4-Seat $ 230 for the first 3 hours + $50 per hour thereafter

Flexi-Taxi Transfer Service

  • 11-Seat $220 return
  • 13-Seat $ 230 return
  • 4-Seat $ 230 return

* A surcharge of 25- 35% may apply for out of town charters such as Bribie Island or Brisbane. It a late-night pick-up is requested after 10 pm, a surcharge of $30 may apply. 

Q. When do I have to pay the balance for minibus charter & airport transfer bookings?

Full payment is required 7 days before travel for minibus & airport transfer bookings? Payment may be made with a credit card or bank deposit.

Q. What if I’m running late for my Flexi Taxi transfer?

Your vehicle & driver have been booked for a specific pick-up time for both the outbound and return transfers. If you are running late and your driver and vehicle are waiting outside, a waiting fee of $45 per 30 minutes may be incurred.

In some instances, the vehicle and driver may be booked for another job on the same day, therefore the ability to wait may not be possible.

Q. Can I add additional pick-up and drop-off locations to a Flexi Taxi journey?

A Flexi Taxi booking is for single point A to point B journeys, additional pick-ups and drop-offs en route will incur a surcharge.

Q. Can I extend my Minibus Charter on the day?

Yes, your vehicle & driver have been booked for a specific number of hours from the first pick-up time to the last-drop-off time. If you wish to extend your charter on the day, additional hours will be charged in increments of 1 hour at a rate of $80.00 per hour.

Q. When do I have to pay the balance for day tour bookings?

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Q: What if I want to change the date of my tour or charter?

Bookings may be changed up to 24 hours prior to departure for free.

Date changes within 24 hours may be requested however Coast to Hinterland Tours reserves the right to refuse any change due to insufficient notice.

Q: What to bring on a day tour or charter?
  • A bottle of water.
  • An item of warm clothing (winter months).
  • A hat and sunglasses.
  • Sunscreen.
  • A rain jacket or umbrella.
  • Spare cash.
Q: What if I am late?

No refund is payable if a passenger is not at the departure point at the nominated departure time to participate in the tour. Guests should ensure that they know exactly where the departure point is and should arrive there at least 10 minutes early

Q: Does the tour operate in wet weather?

Our tours are not weather dependent. Actually, the rainy days are always our busiest. All tours will depart regardless of rain or other weather conditions unless we are aware of conditions/forecasts that would make it unsafe to.

Q: Do you provide a pick-up service for the tour?

Pick up locations vary depending on the tour. Certain tours depart from the Maroochydore region, other tours depart from the Noosa region and some tours have pick-up locations for both regions. Please check Coast to Hinterland Tours website under each tour for pick-up and drop-off details.

Q: Do I need to confirm my tour booking?

No, if you have paid in full and you have received an electronic voucher via email, then there is no need to reconfirm your booking.

Q: What if I have special dietary requirements?

You must add special comments when booking if you require special dietary requirements. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request, however, Coast to Hinterland are unable to offer a guarantee on behalf of the partners we work with. We will inform you in advance if a specific dietary request is not available.

Q: How do babies and children travel on the tour van?

Infant and toddler restraints and booster seats available on request.

Babies up to 6 months’ old

Babies up to 6 months of age must be in an approved rear-facing restraint that is properly fastened and adjusted. We recommend babies stay in a rear-facing restraint for as long as their size allows.

Babies and children—6 months to 4 years. Babies and children from 6 months and up to 4 years must be in an approved child restraint that is properly adjusted and fastened. The child restraint may be rear-facing or forward-facing with a built-in harness.

Children—4 to 7 years

Children aged 4 years and up to 7 years may be in an approved child restraint that is forward-facing with a built-in harness that is properly adjusted and fastened. They may also be in an approved booster seat secured with an adult lap-sash seatbelt or a fastened and adjusted H-Harness

Children 7 years and over

Children who are 7 years and over may sit in a standard seat with an adult seat-belt, or an approved booster seat/cushion secured with an adult lap-sash seat-belt or an H-Harness

Q: Can I take a wheelchair or a stroller on Tour?

Generally, no, our tour van is not equipped to store wheelchairs due to limited storage space. Strollers are permitted onboard the minibus.

Please enquire before booking for clarification on a particular tour.

Q: What is Coast to Hinterland Tours child policy?

Infants aged 0-2 years travel free of charge

Adult fares apply to persons aged 15 years and over

We’re happy to welcome children on board our tours. Children’s prices apply for all children aged 3-14 years.

  • Please be aware that our vehicles have limited storage space for prams or strollers.

o    Coast to Hinterland Tours reserves the right to refuse passage to those who insist on bringing items as described above or who cause unnecessary departure delays relating to this matter.

  • It is essential that we are aware of all guests travelling.

o    All travelling persons must have a separate seat allocated for their use. Carrying an infant on one’s lap or having them occupy space in the aisle is not permitted.

o    Any party arriving with undisclosed infants will be required to pay our child’s fare prior to boarding the touring vehicle. If there are no seats available for an undisclosed party to occupy, the entire travelling party may be denied the opportunity to travel and will forfeit their fares.

Q: Can I bring luggage on board the bus?

Our touring vehicles have minimal storage space, so any more than a small day pack is undesirable. Large bags, prams & strollers cannot be stored onboard. If you need to bring along any more than this, please be sure to let us know at the time of booking, as it may be necessary to purchase an extra seat to accommodate your luggage.

Q: Can I drink alcohol onboard?

State legislation prohibits alcohol to be consumed in any of our licenced vehicles at any time. There is to be no opened alcohol brought on the bus.

Q: What are my payment options?

We require full payment at the time of placing your online booking and accept all major credit cards or bank transfers. We can accept all major debit and credit cards from customers in every country in 135+ currencies. Credit card payments incur a 2.3% surcharge.
