Sunshine Coast Beaches

Eat, Drink and Stroll your way around the sublime Sunshine Coast Beaches

If coastal paths, craft breweries, artisan markets and cool cafes sound like your kind of a beach holiday – then head to Sunshine Coast Beaches!

A Beach Lover’s Dream!

If you’re someone who can easily spend a few hours on a beach, enjoying the gentle lapping of the water against the shore, soaking up the sun and listening to the sound of the gentle breeze against the trees, then the Sunshine Coast is the destination for you!

The good news? We have kilometres of perfect, unspoiled beaches, just waiting for you to enjoy. The other good news? The space means a lack of intense crowds, and plenty of time to relax, whether you want to enjoy surfing, swimming, water-sports, or you simply sit and soak up the sun with a good book, the choice is yours!

Explore the Idyllic Beaches of the Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast beaches are made with relaxation in mind! There are countless bars, cafes and restaurants within a stone’s throw of the water’s edge, and plenty of promenades for those romantic, sunset walks.

If you love people spotting, simply sit yourself down and watch the world go by! Children will love the space to run, roam, explore and splash, and the surf lifesavers presence means you can relax whilst enjoying your family time.

Put simply, the Sunshine Coast was made for beach time!

But What if I Don’t Want to Just Sit on The Beach?

You don’t have to! You can easily have the beach as a backdrop whilst you explore the region. You’ll find coastal paths with amazing views and vistas to take your breath away, craft breweries, artisan markets, and cafes where you can relax and enjoy the laid-back vibe.

The surfer way of life is never too far away, and home-grown food is something to make your mouth water.

There is nothing you can’t find here!

Caloundra is the gem in the crown of the Sunshine Coast beaches, with amazing paths to follow, boardwalks for people watching and catching the sun, and plenty of attractions and Sunshine Coast events which are all set with the ocean as your backdrop.

We mentioned craft breweries earlier, and this is certainly where Sunshine Coast tourism comes into its own! Try some local beers, the likes of which you’ll struggle to find anywhere else. If beer isn’t your thing, you’re never too far away from a winery!

Of course, there are countless other areas, including Kings Beach, Dicky Beach, Golden Beach, Bullock Beach, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Coolum, Cotton Tree, Maroochydore, Marcoola, and the stunning Alexandra Headlands. We know how to name our beaches!

You can choose from a large beach with plentiful facilities around it, such as Alexandria Bay at Noosa Heads, or you can opt for a quieter, more hidden gem, such as the up and coming Mudjimba Beach. Kings Beach is surely one to add to your list, with the sea so blue and green it will cause your eyes to squint – you can’t see beauty like this just anywhere in the world.

If you want to hike your way to something special, be sure to check out Tea Tree Bay in the Noosa National Park; you’ll need to get your hiking boots on to get there, but you’ll be glad you did it.

A Region Blessed by Mother Nature

Our wide, sweeping beaches are blessed by Mother Nature, for sure. Not too far from the coastline, you can venture into the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, for an authentic way of life and plenty of cultural activities to enjoy. Of course, the Sunshine Coast weather is fantastic all year round, whether you’re in the midst of winter or summer, you can be sure of plentiful golden sunshine and blue skies all around.

There is a reason why so many people visit the Sunshine Coast beaches, even when it’s considered winter everywhere else – we know how to do 12 months a year summer! There is no best time to visit the Sunshine Coast, it’s literally all the time.

The best beaches on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland are blessed with countless accommodation options too, so you can literally be a minute or two from the shore, or looking out from your accommodation window right over the glittering ocean.

In addition, you can mix your holiday with day trips to the main Sunshine Coast attractions, such as the famous Australia Zoo, or the Ginger Factory, to name just two. Mother Nature is never far away, no matter what you do in this region of Queensland, and there are many stunning rainforests to visit, close enough to the coastline for you to enjoy both in one stay.
