World-class attractions

It’s not just our beautiful beaches that people come to see and experience, the Sunshine Coast region is also abound with many other world class experiences.

From its humble beginnings some 75 years ago the Ginger Factory in Yandina is now known as one of the world’s largest suppliers of confectionery ginger; formerly located atop the hill in Buderim, the Ginger Factory relocated to its current home in 1978.

Australia Zoo rightfully takes its place as the worlds biggest and best wildlife conservation facility.

World’s oldest civilisation

New research indicates that Australia’s Aboriginal Civilisation is the oldest on the planet and dates back some 50,000 years.

With 40,000 years of history in the local area, the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) people bring alive their rich cultural traditions through dance, music and art.

The Gubbi Gubbi people were one of the hosts for the great bunya nut festivals every three years, which attracted many people from distant areas to the area of the Blackall Range.

The serious side of life

It’s not all fun and games on the Sunshine Coast, yes we are friendly and open; however there is also a serious side lurking very close beneath the surface.

We are serious about our local hospitality, the freshness and quality of our locally grown produce, our dedication to excellence in preparation and presentation of the food, our warm friendly service, our handcrafted items, our passion for and willingness to share the natural wonders of the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland region.

What’s at home on the Range

A trip up the steep and windy Blackall Range takes you to some of the most picturesque villages in the Hinterlands; Maleny, Montville, Flaxton and Mapleton.

At the quintessential heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland these villages are the ideal getaway with a plentiful supply of beautiful Bed & Breakfast guesthouses and the freshest locally grown produce.

Weddings on the Sunshine Coast

Getting married?

On the Sunshine Coast weddings are very popular, and when you check out the scenery and the weather, it’s not hard to see why! Can you imagine your wedding photos?

The weather means that you can easily have an outdoor ceremony, with a stunning backdrop of the ocean, or the beautiful hinterland.

Provided you pick the right time, there is very little chance that your wedding is going to be ruined or changed by adverse weather too.

Noosa is one of the most popular spots for nuptials, although the entire coast is packed with potential venues to choose from.

When to Get Married

Summer wedding or winter wedding? The choice is yours! The Sunshine Coast basically is a venue which could host a wedding at any time of the year, so you could get hitched on the beach, in the hinterland, at an indoor venue, basically anywhere you like, at any time.

Winter weddings are just as popular as summer ones because the temperatures are still mild, yet the heat of summer has passed.

The chance of rain is also still quite low. Having said that, June, July, and August are the most popular times for weddings in this region – the ideal middle ground!

Required Wedding Paperwork

There are many outdoor venues where you can hold a wedding ceremony, such as a beach, parkland, reserve, or hotel, but if you are thinking of getting hitched at any of these (aside from a hotel), you’re going to need a permit from the local council.

There will be a fee for this, and there will be certain rules and regulations, which are in place to protect the natural landscape.

This is in addition to the regular paperwork you will need if you are coming from a different country to get married in Australia. All of this can easily be arranged, and the permit for your venue can be obtained easily from the local council.

Put simply, the Sunshine Coast is the ideal spot for a wedding, no matter what the time of year.

Flaxton Gardens

Our Group Tours will take you to the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland with sweeping coastal views, Flaxton Gardens is an iconic wedding venue where your wedding dreams become reality.

Pioneer Coffee

Pioneer Coffee Roastery was one of the first small batch specialty coffee roasters on the Sunshine Coast.  Pioneer has stayed true to their primary objective – to carefully and consistently roast the best coffee we find.

A Mooloolaba holiday is a must to share with your whole family. You can step out of your accommodation and onto the white sand of Mooloolaba Beach within two minutes.
