Summer wedding or winter wedding? The choice is yours! The Sunshine Coast basically is a venue which could host a wedding at any time of the year, so you could get hitched on the beach, in the hinterland, at an indoor venue, basically anywhere you like, at any time.
Winter weddings are just as popular as summer ones because the temperatures are still mild, yet the heat of summer has passed.
The chance of rain is also still quite low. Having said that, June, July, and August are the most popular times for weddings in this region – the ideal middle ground!
There are many outdoor venues where you can hold a wedding ceremony, such as a beach, parkland, reserve, or hotel, but if you are thinking of getting hitched at any of these (aside from a hotel), you’re going to need a permit from the local council.
There will be a fee for this, and there will be certain rules and regulations, which are in place to protect the natural landscape.
This is in addition to the regular paperwork you will need if you are coming from a different country to get married in Australia. All of this can easily be arranged, and the permit for your venue can be obtained easily from the local council.
Put simply, the Sunshine Coast is the ideal spot for a wedding, no matter what the time of year.
