Noosa Springs

Sunshine Coast Golf Transfers. Golf Holidays Sunshine Coast

Noosa Springs was the Ausgolf 2015 35th best course in Australia. It is the only championship-quality course in the Noosa area. The course has picture-perfect greens, with fairways that spread as far as the eye can see. Yet, Noosa Springs is only a few kilometres away from Hastings Street. So, if you have non-golfing friends or family members in your party, they will have plenty to see and do.

Just be sure to bring lots of golf balls with you. The Noosa Springs course is tight with a lot of challenges. This is due to the course passing through natural bushland and skirting Lake Weyba. However, the play is exciting and varied.

If you do find yourself a little golf fatigued, there is a superb on-site spa, where you can enjoy a stress-relieving massage or take a dip in the hydro massage pool.

Pelican Waters

Another option for your coach charter is Pelican Waters. If you’ve visited the sprawling town of Caloundra, you may already be familiar with Greg Norman’s first Sunshine Coast course.

According to Golf Australia, it is rated in the top 20 Australian public access courses.

It is a short par, so Pelican Waters requires that you are straight off the tee to get a good score. So, you are not likely to need your driver much during your trip.

The club is located at Golden Beach, approximately one hour north of Brisbane. This makes it a great choice for visitors to the Sunshine Coast, where you can take Sunshine Coast golf transport directly from the hotel to the resort.

Twin Waters

Twin Waters was the training ground for Adam Scott, 2013 Masters winner. This makes a fine pedigree for even the most experienced golfers and it is more than sufficient for newbies.

Today, Scott still considers Twin Waters as one of his top ten courses, alongside St Andrews old course, Cyprus Point and Shinnecock Hills. So, this course is amongst good company.

Twin Waters is a playable resort-style course, but it has another plus, as it sits alongside one of the favorite holiday resorts on the Sunshine Coast and Mudjimba Beach.

To play this course well, you will need to play a solid approach shot to get into a good position off the tee.

Mount Coolum

With a stunning backdrop of Mount Coolum, this resort features an 18-hole course that can challenge even the best golfers while providing enjoyment for less experienced players.

The 18-hole championship course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr and in recent years has been used by some of the best players in the world, including Jason Day, Bubba Watson and Adam Scott.

The course is exciting and diverse, offering contrasting landscapes from the lakeside holes to the manicured fairways weaving through native bushland.

Just be sure to pack your golf shoes as they are compulsory and you’ll need to adhere to the neat dress code. The course is available for play seven days a week, but you’ll need to book in advance.

Pacific Harbour

Pacific Harbour is an hour from Brisbane and is the centrepiece of a $1.8 billion residential development. The course was designed to provide exciting play for all skill levels including formal and beach bunkers, two nine-hole loops and more than 20 reflective lakes.

You can enjoy landmark pandanus palms by every green, extensive natural flora and island greens. The 17th hole has a bunker that runs from the forward tee to beyond the green, making it the longest bunker in the Southern Hemisphere.

The course is open to the public seven days a week with a neat dress code. The club membership also prefers golfers to use soft spikes on the course.

Headland

The Headland Golf Club is in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, just five minutes from Mooloolaba Beach. This course has an amazing design with the charisma that highlights its classic charms and 60-year history.

The course has award-winning staff, a traditional clubhouse offering great food and cold beer, amazing Mooloolaba coastline views and some of the best greens on the coast. All these features combine to offer a great day out and an unforgettable golfing experience.

Social play is available on most Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, as there are mens’, ladies and mixed competitions on other days. Just be sure to book in advance.

Maroochy River

The Maroochy River course is one of the newest and most exciting golf courses on the Sunshine Coast. The 18-hole course was designed by Graham Marsh and has a unique layout that is basically a links-style course. There are few trees, strategically placed bunkers and wide fairways.

However, what makes this course challenging is that water is a feature of practically every hole. The wind is also a factor. While it keeps golfers cool on even the warmest day, it is unusual for wind not to affect play.

While the course only opened in 2015, it already has established a great reputation and proud history.

Beerwah

The Beerwah course is located at the base of the Sunshine Coast’s Glasshouse Mountains. This stunning course offers a challenge for avid players and those simply out for an enjoyable, social day.

The 18-hole course measures over 6,000 meters in length, but due to its level layout, it can be comfortably walked by those of all ages and abilities. Those who are more serious about their golf game will need good course management, as many of the holes require strategy over strength.

Since Beerwah borders a state forest, you’re also likely to see many bird species and families of kangaroos as you traverse the course.

Caloundra

The gently undulating Caloundra course was designed by Ross Watson, offering couch fairways and Bermuda 328 greens. This is a stunning course that requires soft spikes and adherence to a neat dress code.

Membership is available, but you will need to time your visit carefully. There is bird feeding daily at 4 pm and various competitions throughout the week.

Bribie Island

Bribie Island is part of the Moreton Bay sand islands and its natural sand base is the ideal foundation for creating a quality playing surface on rolling terrain while offering superb drainage. Although the golf club is close to the sea, the 18 holes have a bushland setting. The course also features Sandbelt style bunkering, thickly lined fairways with a variety of native trees.

The course also features massive Bermuda 328 putting surfaces that are well presented, and sloping greens that offer lots of challenges. It was ranked in the top 100 of Golf Australia’s list of top public access courses.

Peregian Springs

While it is considered one of the least known Sunshine Coast courses, this is simply because of its members-only layout. However, these days, visitors are welcomed seven days a week.

The par 72 course can be enjoyed by players of all standards, making it a great choice for your golf transportation Sunshine Coast charter.

The design provides different challenges for daily players or those who play less frequently with strategic options to plot around the hazards. The course measures over 6,000 metres, which is not lengthy by modern standards. So, the layout relies on strategy rather than being a long hitter.

Standing on the tee, the hole appears simple, but you are likely to need at least one more club than you would typically need on a flat approach. There are also deep bunkers left and right that can cause problems for mis-hits.

Noosa Valley

The Noosa Valley Country Club is one of the prettiest places to spend time playing golf. As its name suggests, the course is located in the picturesque Noosa Valley, approximately 20-minute drive from Hasting Street. The nine-hole layout almost looks like a botanical garden with bursts of colour dominating the area between the manicured greens and fairways.

While it is not a difficult course, it is fun. The most memorable hole is the final one heading back towards the clubhouse. It has a wide sloping fairway with two large lakes in front of the tee and to the right of the fairway. The fairway also narrows and dips before reaching the slightly elevated green. This closing hole requires precise shot-making and tests even the most experienced player.
